New Intel: Outside Contacts

Every good detective knows that the truth rarely stays confined to the crime scene. Witnesses exist beyond the manor gates. Experts hold knowledge the suspects lack. Information flows in unexpected channels.

Today we introduce Outside Contacts, a new feature that expands your investigative toolkit considerably.

Who Can You Reach?

During your investigation, you now have access to several external sources:

The Mortician examined the body. They know exactly how the victim died, when it happened, and what physical evidence the killer left behind. Technical questions about the murder method go here.

The Police Officer secured the scene first. They observed the initial chaos, noted who seemed suspicious, and documented what the crime scene looked like before anyone could tamper with it.

The Neighbours see things. They hear arguments through walls. They notice cars arriving at odd hours. They remember details that the suspects would prefer stay forgotten.

The Gardener knows every corner of the estate. Secret passages. Hidden paths. Who meets whom in the shadows when they think nobody is watching.

Limited Opportunities

You cannot interrogate these contacts endlessly. Each conversation costs precious time from your investigation. Choose your questions wisely. Extract maximum value from each interaction.

Strategic Timing

Some detectives contact everyone immediately, gathering broad information before questioning suspects. Others wait until they have specific questions that only an expert can answer.

Both approaches work. Find what suits your deductive style.

The walls have ears. Now you can listen.
